An automobile crash that wrecked two cars occurred about 8 o'clock Wednesday evening when George Kusch, Sterling, North Lakota, driving on the left_side of the street, crashed into a car owned by Phillip G. Loh- stretter, this city, at the foot of the Eighth avenue viaduct. 4 According to witnesges, Kusch driv- ing a Ford was coming down the via- duct on the left side of the street at a good rate of speed. Conrad Elnes, driving a Dodge touring car, with Mr. and Mrs. Lohstretter as passengers, had turned the corner on First street S. W., preliminary to going over the viaduct. Kusch apparently became confused and swung still further to the left. Although the Lohstretter car was, jammed against the east curb to escape him, the Ford crashed into the larger vehicle. Kusch was hurled through the wind- shield but escaped wit a few minor bruises. Mrs, Lohstretter was pitched from the car but escaped injury. However, both cars were badly wreck- ed. The engine of the Ford was jam- med back into the body and the car practically demolished. The Dodge car will require severa: hundred dol- lars of Tepairs. Mr. Lohstretter appeal to City At- torney L. H. Connoily for the arrest of Kusch for careless driving. The warrant has not been served pending a settlement out of court for damag caused.
