In conformity with action taken, by, the independent members of the state legisature and instruction of the ‘ Joint.Campaign Committee of 21 representing the anti- Townley and anti-Socialist Republican State Committee, the Democratic State Central Committee and the Indepen- dent Voters Association, a delegate convention is called to meet at the City of Devils Lake on Wednesday and Thursday the 30th and 31st days of March 1921, such : convention will convene at 1:30 o’clock on March 30th. _ Said convention will decide.whether to institute a recall election in this state, and if it is determined to do “so will designate the officers against whom recall petition, are to be filed and when the electon shall be held. If it is decided to have such election, endorsements will be made at such convention of candidates for each office from which the incumbent is to be recalled. The purpose of the convention is to select delegates to represent the 27th legislative district in an Indepen- dent State Convention, to be held at Devils Lake on March 30th and 31st, as per call published herein. ‘Said district convention will also select a campaign manager or a campaign committee whose duty it will be to select a manager for the district to serve in such capa- city, in event a recall should be ordered by the State Convention. Each precinct in the legislative district is entitled to one delegate for every 50 votes or major fraction -there- ef cast within the precinct for the State Board of Audits Law at the last general election, provided that every -pre- cinct shall be entitled to one delegate regardless of the number of votes cast. Unless other arrangements have already been made by a properly constituted authority for representation in the district convention from each of the several precincts, caucuses for the purpose of electing delegates to repre- sent the various precincts within the district .will .be held between the hours of 2:00 and 3:00 o’clock on Sat- urday, March 19th at the polling place used in the various ‘precincts at the last general election.
