The chairman, Mrs. Moses, in her | chairman’s address, gave the keynote ot tne rest room plan when she said | that Bismarck must come to be noted for three things: the pride of its wo- men in the better things of life, the worth while, activities of its women, and-its hospitality, all of which can b Wworked out through the expedient of standing together and working to- gether for the civic rest room. Never was there a better spirit shown than at the Saturday meeting. | The women were-as one in their! endeavor to further the plan in hand. Sister- | Mon- } day club, Fortnightly club, Current | Events club, Mothers’ club, Business and Professional Wonlen’s club, Arts and Letters club, Of the organizations yet to be included, but accidentally | overlooked in sending the notices, the Rebekah and the Auxiliary to the American Legion will have represen- | tatives. The secretary, Mrs. Register, was obliged to. make up her list of! organization unassisted and she is de- | sirous that any groups of women not in the list be reported to het at once ‘by any ong noting the omission. With very few exceptions, every or- | ganization notified sent a représenta- | tive. These representatives, together with the three elected officers, com- prise the Council of administration ! and. will number, when completed, about forty. The following committees were se- | lected from the representation: Fin- ance, Mrs. Bannon; | publicity, Mrs. Orr;‘program, Mrs. Dullam; legisla- tive, Mrs. Young; community, Mrs, Smythe; rest room, Mrs. Welch. Each committee chairman is select- ing two committee members to work with her in her department, and these committee members will be se- lected from an¥ source, whatever, chosn by the chairman—not neces- sarily from among the representa- tives on the council. The room is coming into the use intended in a most gratifying manner. On Saturday there were many women in the rest room during the day, sev- eral children were cared for while the mothers did errands, Miss Weisen- born, who was in charge of the room on Saturday, reports five babies at i the same hour asleep in the baby room, and a very busy day all through. Next Suturuay Shopping Day The council decided to make next | Saturday Shopping day, and special accommodations will be arranged for, in order that women may shop in comfort... Out of Town Women Honor Guests The room is primarily for out of ‘town women. Visiting women are finding the room, and are making themselves comfortable. It is for those women to tell their neighbors about the rest room so that visitors in Bismarck for the day may be as- sured of a place to drop in for rest and for a chat with other women about the room. It must be a “get ac- quainted” room. EASTERN STAR MEETING The Eastern Star will meet Tues- day evening at 7:30. There will be initiation and affiliation.
