Draper of Man dan and expects to visit friends in the two cities for the next tew days be- fore returning to Washington to re- sume his duties in the government land office. Tt has -been eight years since Col. j Lounsbery visited Bismarck and after a tour of the city was surprisedat the remarkable growth the city has had: He recalled several. of the Jandmarks | and remarked upon being show. the’ site of the new historical building that he had written the charter of that) society and had been its first presi- dent. Mr. Lounsbery also was the first master of the local Masonic ‘lodge and was guest of honor at the Master Ma- son banquet Monday evening where he related reminiscences of early Ma- sonry in Bismarck. Although the new retirement 'aw af- fects Fol. Lounsbery, he was directed to stay for another two yeor period because of his long service, and know1- edge of the land office. Col.
