EMMA‘LINCOLN O SPEAKING TOUR Miss Emma P. Lincoln, well known in Bismarck where she has frequent- ly visited at the home of her sister, Mra. W. F. Crewe of Avenue A, is now touring in Minnesota for the pur- pose of organizing Harding-Preus clubs among the younger women of the state. The tour is under the , auspices of the Republican State Cen- tral committee. Miss Lincoln’s dra- matic ability, which is appreciated by Bismarckers, bids well to make her a most effective campaign speaker, as well as organizer. FROM TWIN CITIES Mrs. E. H. Light of Avenue A West, has returned from a short visit in the Twin Cities. Mr. Light, who ac- companied her, will remain in Fargo for a few days to attend to matters of business. - PRESBYTERIAN LADIES All ladies of the Presbyterian church are asked to begin to save their discarded garments for the an- nyal rummage sale which will be held by the members of the Aid Society the last week in October. Paulson returned today from a trip through points in Iowa. Mrs. Paulson and -daughter, Justine, who accompanied him, will remain for several months at Daven- port, Ia., where they will visit with Mr. Paulson’s brother, H. S. Paulson and his family of that place. Miss Justine will attend high school in Davenport. EASTERN STAR MEETING The regular meeting of the Order of the Eastern Star will be held Tues- day evening, at 8 p. m. in the Masonic hall. Balloting and initiation of new members will be a feature of the evening. A vote to determine whether or not Bismarck shall have a shrine of Jerusalem will be taken. All mem~- bers are urged to be present. PRETTY PARTY The Sam Nicholas residence at 60 Main street, was the scene of a de- lightful party on Sunday afternoon in compliment to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Nimer, of Dickinson, who have just recently been married. A large num- ber of friends and relatives of the honor guest were present to enjoy th affair. Mr. and Mrs. Nimer left on Sunday evening for Dickinson, where they will make, their future home. . i DEMING-RUFNER WEDDING Under an arch of. green ferns and white flowers, the vows which united Blanche Esther Deming and. Ralph Rufener were spoken Saturday after- noon at the home of the bride’s father W. F. Deming, of 313 Avenue A. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Frank Matscheck of this city who served as matron of honor, by Joyce Torbenson, of Plaza, ring bearer, and by Estaline Matscheck and’ Willow- belle Matscheck, who were flower girls. ‘The bride's dress was made of white charmuse, and she carried :\ bunch of tea roses. The groom was attended by Roy Mills of this city. Following the ceremony, a luncheon was served in the dining room which was decorated in a color scheme of pink and white. Gladiolias and pink sweet peas formed the center piece, and covers were laid for twenty guests. Among those from out of town who attended the wedding were. Mrs. O. J.
