ve ve TUESDAY, AUGUST '3, 1920 COUNTY SEWING: CLUBS WORK IS ABOUT COVERED, Courge of Work is Nearly Over —Exhibits to Follow in / Fall war The sewing c1uy work ‘of the vari- ous Boys and Girls clubs throughout Burleigh county. is nearly complsted. A small. amount of work covering darning and patching remains to be done yet. This club work is under the direc- tion of the extension department o1 the State Department of ‘Agriculture, in each county the work is being carried on_-by the Home Demonstra- stration Agents, in Burleigh, county by Miss ‘Elsie Stark. In the Apple Creek club the work was carried on under the immediate oversight Of Mrs, Arthur Knudtson. In Menoken the work was done under Mrs. Holmes, while in Wing, Mrs. G Oleirgson had charge of it. The 'local leaders are to a large degree responsible for the excellent results obtained in the work. Only through their interest and spirit was the continuance of the work ‘possib:e In the fall an exhibition of the work done ‘by. the different sewing clubs will ‘be held in each county. At the ,county displays the four best,exhibits will be selected for ex- hibition at the Missouri Slope fair The winner of the competition there will be given a free trip to the Fargo meeting in January.
