Man is Badly Burned -When Boiling Tar Starts Blazing Small Blaze in Rear of Interna-| tional Harvester Company Yesterday While boiling a fa vat of tar yesterday afternoon, in the rear of the Interna- tional Harvester company building on west Main street, the tar boiled over, caught fire and spattered over Roy Mellik, who was in charge of the oper- ations, burning him severely on the left hand and forearm and inflicting lesser burns about his face and’ head: The blaze sent up huge volumes of black smoke. The fire department was called, and in the meantime em- ployes of the company had a stream of water on the blaze, which was con- fined to the vat. ‘Mellik,, who was working for the Bismarck Construc- tion company which is repairing the roof on the harvester company build- ing, was given medical treatment for his burns, Practically no property damage was done. {BASEBALL ig AMERICAN ASSOCIATION Won Lost, St. Paul....
