On a basis of 1997 prices as 100 percent, we give a table of percentages of wholesale prices compiled from figures of the . U. S. bureau of labor statistics, from which may be seen’ the net increase in the prices of lumber and building mat- erials. -' Figures for farm products and cloth- ing are not available for a period lat- er than November, 1919. Labor is shown t ohave increased 165 percent above the average price of 1907 where- as all commodities increased 166 per- cent during the same’ period. Gray Again Leads Jamestown Company Jamestown, March 17.—The reor- f ganization of the Jamestown unit of the North Dakota National Guard was completed at a meeting held in ‘the armory of Company H Monday night. ‘Captain J. D. Gray was elected captain of the new company, Al Feickert, first Neutenant, and Louis Orlady, second Hee ileutenant. All of the new, officers have seen consider aile service in the guard or in the United States army as com- missioned officers, and have the .re- spect and confidence of the members of the reorganized Company H, of the parents of the enlisted personnel of the unit, and of the citizens of James- ‘town and Stutsman county in general. The selection of the officers was unanimous and it is believed that the choice of the men will be universally Popular.
