Many causaltics occur- red during the disturbance. The trouble took place at the Ansaldo factory and at factories in San Pier a’ Arena, Cornigliano, Sestri Levante and other places where the workmen fought the police and soldiers all day long. The troops eventually gained the upper hand, cleared the factories and established armed guards except at the workmen still are in possession.
