Chief } among the church dignitaries in the work is the Rt. Rey. Charles P. An- derson, D, D., LL, D., bishop of the diocese of Chicago. Bishop Anderson’ was elected chairman of the joint commission on the .nation-wide campaign of. the Episcopal church:at the general con- vention held in Detroit in October. The bishop was born in Kemptville, Canada, September 8, 1863, He took his first degree at St. John’s college, Toronto, where he was made. an archdeacon, . His first charge in the | United States was as rector in Oak Park, Ill, a-suburb of Chicago.
