HOSKINS FLORAL DEPARTMENT BISMARCK REAL BSTATE CHEAP, ASSERTS AGENT Takes Exceptions to Article In- dicating That Homes Are Selling High Exceptions are taken to statements made:in a story carried in the Tri- bune recently relating to the housing situation by F. E. Young of the F. E. Young Real Estate Co., who in an in- terview today says: ? “We agree with your article and interview with some unknown real estate dealer in Tuesday evening’s Tribune in that the housing problem in Bismarck is acute \and we also agree that the real estate dealers here sold many houses this year to people who might otherwise be renting ow- ing to the fact that rental property has been so very scarce. But, we do not agree with you or this unknown gentleman’s conclusion that Bismarck property. is high. As a matter. of fact, and this is. easily proven, Bis- MOTHERS WHO PREPARE CAREFULLY WITH Morner's Frienp ‘ AID NATURE AND THE PHYSICIAN She should remain healthy by hav- ing avoided the discomforts which ‘usually accompany such an. occasion where nature -is unaided. Special Booklet on Motherhood and Baby frea, Bradfield Regulator Co, Dpt, F-l0, Atlanta. Ga, the now bou- and per- marck property, the same as. Burleigh county farmlands, are the cheapest in the state if not the northwest. The two chief reasons for the number of house sales made this year are that there has been a large influx of state Capitol employees, traveling men and those engaged in other lines of busi- ness and also a large number of mar- ried men who have served their coun- try during the war have returned home and they and their families have returned to keeping house and this in- flux, added, to the fact that for three years there has been almost ~no residence building here, accounts for the large demand for houses. Houses Worth More “It is true that better prices are being obtained for houses than could be got two or three years ago, but don’t you know that it costs probably fifty percent more to build now than it did then. We do not know what the other agents here get for their properties but we do know that’ we have not sold a house which could be duplicated for the price at which we have sold them . “We repeat that Bismarck property and Burgigh County farm lands are cheap, the cheapest real estate in this part of the country, and they are go- ing to go much higher, for Bismrck is going to grow, and the larger the city ‘the higher: will ‘be. the values here, and for the next year we pre- dict the biggest building boom Bis- marck has ever seen for years. In fact we know of one outfit. which is planning to erect twenty houses here to be sold on easy payments. “And if you think property is high now wait a year or two when it will ‘be selling for what it is really worth. Buying Homes Good Sign “And in conclusion, isn’t it really a good thing that the people are buying homes and not renting? Isn't it:.a splendid thing to be able to say that Bismarck is a city of homeown- ers? Would you want any: better ad- vertising than that? ‘And isnt it a fact that if a man owns his own home that /| he is a better citizen, more progressive takes more interest in public affairs, takes more pride in beautifying his premises and is able to raise his children to a higher grade of citizen- ship? “And let this FACT soak into you; the cheapest real estate in North Da- kota is right here under our very noses in Bismarck and Burleigh coun- ty.’ For Colds or ‘nfluenza and' aso Preventative take LAXA- TIVE BROWVO OUININE Tablets.
