Cass County | Makes Arrests Which Break Up Bandit Ring SLOPE MACHINES TAKEN Fargo ,N. D., Aug. 27.—Dtails of systematic thefts of automobiles by a gang of four men who have operated’ in North Dakota for four months were revealed by Sheriff John Ross of Cass county yesterday with the arrest Sun- day of the fourth of the alleged thieves and the return to owners of eight cars stolen and sold, it is said, by the gang. A deputy sheriff of Bowman coun- ty is included in the men arrested in connection with the thefts. He is Simon Wahl of Scranton, N. D. He Was arrested between Valley City and Wimbledon with one of the cars in his possession. Two of the gang, J. C. Bishop, 23, of Give Me a Friendly, Natural Hand-shake an’ a friendly natural tobacco. Keep yo’ put- on airs an’ “sauced-up” tobaccos for the fellow that likes nut sundaes better than home made pie— So says a friend of ours named Velvet Joe, And he just about hits the nail on the head. Velvet is made for men who think there's no smoke like: real tobacco. If you are that sort cf man, listen: Velvet was born in old Kentucky, where more than one good thing comes from. It was raised as carefully as any othe: Kentucky thoroughbred. But the real secret of Velvet’s friendly qualities is its slow natural ageing in wooden hogsheads.. Ageing in the wood never hurt anything—and least of all, tobacco. And so we say, Velvet is good tobacco— nothing more or less, It runs second to none, The picture of the pipe on the tin needn’t keep you from rolling a jim-dandy cigarette with Velvet.
