Mr. Leo Aughny of Mandan and Miss Minnie Jager of Bismarck were married at the Catholic church in Jamestown. (Miss Jager left last evening for Jamestown, ostensibly to spend a two weeks’ vaca- tion with friends, | Her fiance went down. on the ‘same ‘train; and this morning telegrams to the respective families of. the happy young couple announced their wedding, to be fol- lowed by a week’s honeymoon in the Twin Cities. Mr. Leo Aughny is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Aughny of;Mandan. He was born and reared in the Morton county seat, received his education there, and entered the service of the new Man- dan Washington Fruit'Co. as a travel- ing representative. # He is a young man who has displayed unusual abil- ity and for whom a bright future is predicted, Mrs. Aughny is the eldest daughter of Mrs. William Jager of Highth Street. She was born in Bismarck and all her life has ‘been spent here. After graduating from ‘St. Mary's acad- emy, Mrs, Aughny finished high school here, took .a businéss course and, five years ago, entered the em- ploy of the International Harvester. Co., with which she has been chief stenographer for the last two or three years. She is e charming young wo- man with brilliant attainments and a host of friends, Mr. and Mrs. Aughny expect to re- turn to Mandan at the end of the week |. to take up their home there. { GTYNEws | To Bar Convention. Oberg returned Sunday from a motor tour of Montana and left this morning for Alexandria, Minn., and’the Mill City. They were accompanied ‘by C. W. Paulson, who goes to Greon Lake to accompany his family home. ' ‘Buys Willys-Knight. The'Lahr Motor Sales Co., distribu- tor of Willys-Knight and Overland au- tomobiles, announced today the deliv- ery of .an . eight-passenger Willys- Knight touring car to Sam Clark. Mr. Clark expects to do some extensive touring with bs new car during the ‘balance of the season, it is said. Returns to Fargo. Mrs. G. Whitney, who motored to the Twin Cities with Mrs, Whitney and their sister and her son, reports fine roads and a delightful trip down. Leaving Bismarck at 7 a.m, the party reached Perham, Minn., 286 miles distant, at 8:45 the same evening and completed the journey: to ‘Minneapolis by 4 o'clock the following day. Returns From Cities. Johnson, who is principal of the new educational institution in the com- munity. “If you come once you will come again, It is the busiest and the happiest place in Bismarck.” Return From Vacation Mr. and Mrs, Fred Peterson return- ed home Saturday from an automo- bile trip to eFrgus Falls, St. Cloud and Lake Avon, Minn. Mr. Peterson reports that fishing at the latter place is excellent, bass, pickerel, perch and sun fish abounding. They were gone three weeks. ‘Mr. Peterson stated that the roads are much improved after the heavy rains.
