D., May 21.—Pleading guilty to the charge of. committing malicious mischief under the 1917 tatute, Roscoe Moore of Hillsboro, levator agent who confessed to set- ting fire to two elevators in order to | conceal a shortage in his accounts, re- ceived the maximum sentence of four ate penitentiary pro- nounced yesterday afternoon by Judge A. T. Cole of the Cass county district court. Moore, was taken to Hillsboro by Sheriff Osmon of Traill county last night, and from there will be taken to the state penitentiary at Bismarck to serve his sentence. Moore, it is claimed, had forged a number of ele- vator tickets and ‘in order to cover his defaleation, planned to burn the elevator. Then, in order not to throw jsuspicion on himself, it is said that ihe fired the other elevatotr first and | then his own.
