MAY BALL LAST EVENING A DELIGHTFUL SOCIAL EVENT oo One of. the most events that has taken place in Bis- marck for some time 'was the May ball yesterday evening at the Over- land building, given by the Community Choral club, in charge of Miss ‘Berg- liot Caspary. The affair was given for the benefit of the Fatherless chil- dren in France, and there were 150 in attendance. The entire first floor of the Over) land building’ was: used for dancing, and the display room was most artis-' ‘tically decorated. _In the center of| the room was a white latticed; frappe bower gracefully entwiaed with vines and blue and. white mora- ing glories, “The windows were drap-' ed in white, and were also decorate. with the: trailing morning glory vines.| A charming effect which added to the coloring were the streamers of pink and green which were strung from the frappe bower to ali sides of the ‘ball room.’ The: wall lights were brilliant. social of silver and blue. A large American flag hung from the center of the garage, which was attactively decoated with the allied flags, giving a pleasing touch of pa- tiotism,.
