S., were hostesses yesterday to 25 members of the Mandan Eastern Star chapter and to’ representatives from Mott, Underwood, Wilton, Flash er and Bottineau, the event being an initiation and the annual inspection of ‘the order. At 330 o'clock the visitors were en- tertained at an elaborate banquet at the Masonic temple, served by Caterer Frank Evarts, and a most tempting vas served. ‘The Cream of tomato menu of four courses menu consisted of: soup, olives and pickles, breaded vea cutlets, creamed green peas, mashed potatoe creamed asparagus shortcake and cream, mints and coffee. The tables were at(ractively decor ated with pink, red and white carna tions, and Caterer Evarts won mé compliments for the splendid way in which every detail of the banquet was carried out. Flowers were presented us favors to the guests. Following the banquet the evening meeting was held at 8 o'clock.
