The American Red Cro finds that it has on hand sufficient knitted articles to supply the Yanks’ needs until they are returned home again, and the following circular let- ter has been received at local chap- ter headquarters: Having recently made a careful in- ventory of the stocks of knited arti- cles on hand in all divisions and camp warehous national headquarters has found that these are sufficient to care for the needs of all men now in 1 camps and those returning from the other side, besides allowing a gener- ous shipment to the foreign commis- sions for civilian relief work. There- fore, the Red Cross wil 1 suspend} knitting as one of its regular produc- tion activities. Will you please take} the following action to make this change of policy effective in your territory? Instruct branches and auxiliaries: (a). To complete all knitted arti- cles now in process. (b). To give out no additional yarn to the members, (c).
