| THOUSAND RED GROSS ACRES Burleigh County Chapter Brings Up Movement. Among Farmers WOULD NET BIG REVENUE If Maximum Is, Scored, $10,000 Would ‘Be Obtained * for Work The Burleigh county Red Cross chapter has ‘launched an intensive campaign for 1,000 Red Cross acres. This _ movement months .ago and has resulted in the pledging of approximately 200: acres, which with an average yield of six bushels ‘of wheat to the acre will nec the Red Cross $1,000, In townships | which have been diligently canvassed, practically every land-owner has’ re- sponded. In Hay Creek and Riverview 33 acres have been pledged; 'Ghylin has promised 24; Grass Lake, 24; Steiber, 22; Florence Lake, 22, ana Fort Rice, 16. The townships which have done not so well have not been reached ‘by the committee, and it i» believed they ‘stand equally ready tu do their bit when the matter is brought to their attention. The Red Cross acre committee of: the Burleiga county chapter consists of William E. Breen, J. W. Burch, ‘William Morris and Irvin Small, all prosperous farm ers, and Ernést C. Wright, depnty auditor.
