Also Tony has a silk- en shirt on his back, and a collar and tie and a stick-pin, cuff-links and oth- er things which go to make up the tout ensemble of an average well- dressed young American. That much is known about Tony and no more. Tony, it will be remembered, es- caped ftom a North Coast Limited berth which he shared with Detective Thomas MacFarlane of the Chicago police force-last Friday evening. Tony was delivered while aforesaid Thomas was taking his twilight nap. When Thomas came out of it, Tony was miss- ing. and with him has gone one suit of B. V. D.’s and a set of handcuffs. Oth- erwise, Tony was as his maker made him, plus certain teeth and a head of hair which he had acquired during his boyhood. iNigbt before last Tony breezed into a Bismarck clothing store in an auto mechanic's jumpers. Some months ago Tony had given this same estab- lishment $118 worth of business, and the Glen Ullin bank gn which he gave a check had reported plenty of funds. ‘So when Tony made some modest. purchases amounting to but $43, the storekeeper gladly accepted hig personal check in payment. Then Tony breezed out again. and a da; or two later the check camé bac! stamped “No Funds,” and the store- keeper began to think. An investiga: | tion revealed that fact that the giddy young purchaser of haberdashery was none other than Tony Zalatorious, who into the State bank of Chicago some months ago for $40,000 and then made a daring escape from the North Coast ‘Limited following his arrest in Glen- dive. Tony is again among those ab- sent. Sheriff French and others are looking for him, and Tony, cognizant of this fact, probably isn’t going to be in any spot where they're likely to look. ———aur Wes. §.——— MAJOR MAYO CONSIDERING YANK SCHOOL Rochester, Minn., July 12.—Dr, Wil- Ham J.
