Bismarck took the first game ‘by a score of 8 to 4 and the second, 4 to 2, The locals were in their old-time form, and they played - fast, heady ‘baseball every minute, even though they did draw more ‘errors than the visitors. Goldie worked on the mound for Bismarck in the first game, allowing seven ‘scattering hits. While Goldie’s wing is in action he has his head on his shoulders, and he is in the game all of the time. . Until there was no longer any question as to the result, moment, and after McClusky touched him up for two runs in the first, he settled down and shut the visitors out for six of the eight remaining innings. Cunningham pitched pretty ‘ball, but his catcher did not succeed in holding him. Talcott Sensation. The work of Talcott in his initial appearance in the second game was a real sensation. For five innings he held the visitors down to one scratch hit. In the sixth they touched him for one run, and in the eighth for a second, and that ended MeClusky’s scoring. died in Usual Fifteen McCluskyites on first. Christie was there with the willow as usual, with a three-sacker in the first, and a two-bagger in the second. Frankenhoff is finding ‘em again and putting them where there's no recpe- tion committee. Shanley, out of nine ~ times at bat in the two games, gar- nered three hits and as many runs. Payseno, at short for McCTisky, prov- ed’ the fastest baserunner Who ever has appeared on the local diamond. Rohrer has a peculiar ‘but effective delivery and held the locals to six hits. Yesterday's attendance was fullly 1,000, The foul line far out into the outer garden was lined with cars. The stands and bleachers were filled. It was ideal ‘baseball weather, and everybody ‘had a good time. The Tale in Detail. Later Rickey went to the Cardinals and made an effort to take the young- ster with him, but failed. If Moore ever attains the baseball pro/inerye of Sisler it will ‘be a great surprise to critics who have seen him in action. This does not necessarily mean that Moore will fail as a big leaguer, for he shows indications of being a first-class infielder, but Sislers and Cobbs appear about once in a gener- ation, and Moore does not appear to be on e of these. All of which shows that even an expert like Rickey can fall down once in awhile. 1 GAMES SUNDAY. \New York at Chicago game post- Bismarck, North Dakota, that it is necessary, and the City Commission- ers of the City of Bismarck, North Dakota, hereby declare it to be neces- sary that a lateral sewer be constrict- ed on First street, from Avenue C to a point fifty feet north of the north line of Avenue D, in Sewer Improve- ment District Number One, according to the plans and specifications of the City Engineer, which plans and. spe- cifications were adopted ard placed on file this 9th day of July, 1917.
