Resolution of Necessity for the same sewer was_also adopted and the City Auditor was instructed to adver- tise for ‘bids on the same. It was decided to work the city prisoners on the streets after this as so many of them had been using the jail for a place to sober up in and board. The police judge instructed to so sen- tence them to hard labor. The Police Commissioner was instructed to fur- nish a guard for the same who would see to it that they worked. The pav- ing around the court house square was discussed at length, however they did not reach a definite conclusion on this proposition.
