This course was ‘outlined late in 1915 by a com-| mittee of eight experts who met in| Washington antl considered the latest practical suggestions American educators. Second grade pupils are given each |?) day one hour’s instruction in sanita- tion, gardening and sewing. In the third grade this hour is increased to an hour and a-half, and repair work, cooking and housekeeping are added. Three hours are now devoted daily to industrial work, 30 minutes of it applied to instruction. the rest to production.
