Frazier, had a fine feed Thursday night. Everything that goes to make up a sumptuous bill of fare was served the boys in army fashion ‘by members of the women’s auxiliary to’the company. With a big truck wagon filled with loads of good things, a committee of the auxiliary, composed of Mrs. Flow, Mrs. Peter Reid, Mrs. Donald Mc- Phee, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Hugo Mella, Mrs. N. &. Call, (Mrs. E. P. Quain, Mrs. ‘Nelson and Miss Leila Diesem, went to the camp from the Hughes Electric company, where all donations were left. Automobiles loaned by pa- triotic citizens carried the committee on: their, mission. The boys had prepared a big fire in the camp kitchen and all was in read- iness for putting the finishing touches to the big feed. After the potatoes were prepared and the meat put on to roast, the salads and _ desserts were quickly arranged and in a short time supper was announced. The officers and boys w@re served in squads in true army fashion. A number of invited guests, including the wives of the’ officers participated in the festivities. One hundred and twenty-five were served in all. tion by Captain Murphy, other offi and the boys, Several new rec 8 arriving Thursday shared in the feed. Following the feed the women were invited to join the company in the retreat exercises, when the flag was lowered. After the lowering of the flag the boys gave three cheers f the women of the auxiliary. 7 demonstration amply repaid the wo- men for all the work contributed. It is the opinion of the auxiliary that many more women of Pismarck would join this organization if they. could have witnessed the joy of the boys while partaking of the feed. Many more members. are needed to carry on the work of siding the com- pany. Joseph Breslow ably assisted the weinen with the serving of the ice cream. Well, we do not know whether this is true or not, that they are refusing orders. Neither do we care. Since in bus- iness we have never had a list brought us to price that we did not get the order and with the rapid advance in prices we have every advantage over the catalog house; to say nothing of delay in freight these days of embargo; and now that our country is in peril we are not going to stab our brave boys who are at the front, in the back and rob their wives and children while they are away. Neither are we going to take advantage of their friends here at home; and other merchants are just as loyal and honest as wé are. Friends and stockholders pass this word along and get your friends to come and see if these propositions are true. Put us to the test;.require that we make good our every! propsition; then if we fail you it is time to go to a catalog’ house, but if you should have a dry year or a tight pull will you then get credit from a catalog house to carry you over? We are patriotic and loyal to our country and city and So are you. The McConkey Commercial Co. 510 Broadway Phone 209
