This wonderful picture comes direct from the western front in France where the British and French are attacking the Hindenburg line in the greatest battle in the world’s history. The picture shows war.at close range. It was taken immediately back the battle line, at the first dressing station behind the trenches, and shows wounded soldiers being cared for and bodies being removed.
