Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Battey have taken a box and will entertain as their guests during the three performances Mr. and Mrs. Wal- ter Bangs of Minot, the latter’a sister of Mrs. Battey. Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Steele will give a large box party Sat- urday evening to witness the’ produc- tion of “Aida.” The party will include Governor 1., B. Hanna, Miss Dorothy @1anna, her house ‘guest, Miss Eliza- ‘beth Magill, of Fargo, Judge and Mrs. ®. B. Goss and Miss Mabel Wright. ‘Other box parties are being arranged and a number of out-of-town guests will be entertained by local women. , Mrs. Goss Honored, Mrs. E. B. Goss was honor guest yes- terday afternoon at a prettily appoint-; ed reception given in the parlors of the McCabe Methodist Episcopal church by the Ladies Aid society and | the Woman’s Foreign Missionary so- ciety of the church, The affair was in the nature of a farewell as the Gosses leave the first of the year for Minot ‘to make their future home. The reception committee was composed of Mrs. J. G. Moore, wife of Dr. Moore, Mrs, L. E. Opdyke and Mrs, A. Upton. Mrs. Goss received ‘tle guests alone. Mrs. Moore gave a talk in behalf of the women of the church. She spoke of the great work accomplished in the societies by Mrs. Goss and what her Joss would mean to tne church and the community and in closing presented her with a handsome silver souvenir spoon a8 a remembrance of the Lad- jes’ Aid society: The Woman's Mis- sionary society presented her with a fountain pen and it was presented by Mrs. Upton. .
