GRANT HAS THO LOAN SOGIETIES Associations Organize Under Pro. visions of Rural Credits Act The rural credit’ law is responsible for two federal loan associations be- ing started within the boundaries of old Morton county, but which are now both located in the newly organized county of Grant. One is the Leith Loan association and the other is the Raleigh Loan association. ”County Agent Gaumnitz is responsible for the organizations, as, if it were not for his instigation in the matter the farm- ers would not have taken up the loan matter pertaining to the rural credits law until next spring, when they an- ticipated starting. The Leith Loan association at the present time has applied to loan $35,- 000 and the Raleigh Loan association seeks $20.000, Both associations have applications for ‘additional loans, ag- Rregating about $80,000. Those inter- ested in the new associations are en- thusiastic and believe the rural cred- its law to be one that will greatly benefit those who take advantage of the opportunity offered. The directors of the Leith Loan as- sociation are: Gottlieb Link, George Herron, Simon Peterson, Charles Bleick and Frank Emch. The last named is secretary and treasurer of the association. The directors of the Raleigh Loan association are: N. E. Bosworth, secretary and treasurer; Mathew Peterson, A. J. Smith, Henry Ottson, A, IE. Evers, R. C.
