GRADING ROAD 10 RIVER TO-BE DISGUSSED TONIGHT Besides opening bids for the remad- eling of the city pest house, the city commissioners in session tonight will discuss the proposition of grading the road to:the fefry, a stretch about two miles long,. An estimate on the ex- act cost of this piece of work has not’ been made, If the proposition meets with the accord of the commissioners, .work will’start so that the road will be in good condition before the ferrybegins operations in the spring. It is undegstood here that the city of Mandan will grade the road lead- ing from that city eastward to ‘the river, which with similar work. on this side, will assure tourists using the Red Trail of a first-class stretch ‘between Bismarck and Mandan. One is his father’s Grand Army badge, and the other is a ring made from the silver mounting of a cannon used in one of the battles in which his father participated. The ring was made by the government and present- ed to Mr. Burr, senior, in 1865. He was a member of the Fifty-second Il- linois regiment, and accompanied General Sherman on his famous march to the sea.
