Fox of “Maple, Wis., aged 70, for 32 years a conductor on the ‘Northern Pacific, chuckled when he checked out at one of Daluth’s best hotels last Saturday and remarked to the clerk: “Well, I guess I'll go home and kill myself.” “He did, The clerk laughed when the rail- roader made the remarkk. For years Mr. Fox had come at frequent inter- vals to the hotel and the witticism about killing himself seemed his fa- vorite method of raising a laugh.
