The néed of adequate facilities for handling potatoes at Be- midji has long been felt by the farm- ers. This need is even more/impera- tive this year due. to the. expected reluctance of dealers to buy pota- toes outright and the extreme neces- sity of having a warehouse with prop- per grading facilities enabling the putting on the market of uniformly top_grade potatoes. While the main potato ¢rop is not yet made, indications' are that there will be a big crop all of which may not be sold. In that case, only the best should be sold and the balance, seconds and culls, put on the mar- ket in pigskins_or butter tubs, there- by building a reputation for high quality potatoes from this county. It appears that marketing will be the big problem in the potato game this year. Every grower, in this vicinity is urged to attend this meeting and help solve this problem. ° ; PAGEANT REHEARSALS PROGRESSING NICELY (Continued from page 1) are real hits, and they are !upported by a most able chorus.
