Their use seems to have been discouraged in the time of Moses. ~ Solomon carried on a trade in horses, having them brought from Fgypt. Riders in his time had no gnddles, but sat upon a piece of cloth. That humble relative of the horse, the ass, was the mount of royalty and it was a mark of distinction to ride that animal, of later date an object of rid- icule. Macnine That Harvests Rice. The Oldest National Park The oldest of the national parks is the Hot Springs reservation in Ar- kansas, established in 1832.
