Gelen, who died Wednesday morning, was buried at the Aure cemetery Saturday. Mr. Gelen was one of the old pioneers of Beltrami county. He settled on a homestead here over 20 years ago which he de- veloped into a nice farm with good modern buildings. He was well known for his good workmanship as a car- penter and also was a well known religious worker. We regret his pass- ing away at an early age and extend out sympaihy to the bereaved family. A. M. Thompson was a Leonard visitor Thursday. He drove the rail- road auditor in his automobile. ‘The Mississippi Timber Co. has a crew of men here loading their logs and box bolts.
