Many farmers are watching the tobac- co growing experiments of Amos Pruit, a farmer of this vicinity, with the intention of also growing tébacco if the profits justify its cultivation. Pruit used three acres to grow to- bacco last year and figures he made more money to the acreage than if he had grown corn or oats. He real- ized .$460 from 3,400 pounds of the weed. This year Pruit plans to in- crease the acreage to see if the profits average as well on a larger scale as they did on a small one. place on Lake Irvim, southeast of Great Northern depot. 6t5-26 FO HSALB—$225 phonograph.
