WIVES OF CANADIAN SOLDIERS. .0 BE 3 $hort Intensive Covises Given /by Home Branch of the Sol- _'dien’ Settlement Board (By Interhational News’Service) Montreal, June 4.—Hundreds: of soldier-farmers’ wives are . being trained 'in domestic science and women’s. farm activities by the Home | : branch of the Soldiers' Settlement board. The training is accomplished by ‘short, intensive courses. z Following: demobilization . of = the army many of the soldiers who, pre- vious to enlistment, ~had followed .other pursuits, qualified 'to purchase farms and take up homesteads. They had to be trained, and their wives '\ were likewise inexperienced.
