B. = Woolnough, commanding officer of ‘the Sixth regi- ment, accompanied by Captain H. D. Frankel, adjutant of the Sixth, was the inspecting officer. " " Following. the inspection -of.the company, Colonel ‘Woolnough ad- dressed those present concerning the plans made, for the summer encamp-. ment at Fort Snelling from June 5 to June 19. He also made clear just what is expected of every man who attends. First class accommodations are being made to care for every company and a thorough instruction will be given along various lines un- der the. direction of competent in- structors. Each company ‘will also have an opportunity to_fire on the rifle range in order to qualify if pos- sible.. In addition to this it is also planned to have company team com- petition, the winning company to be awarded a silver. loving cup which will be the property~of ‘that com- pany until like competition is held next year. He advised every man- to become thoroughly. acquainted with his rifle and urged - instruction on sight setting and the like. The colonel expressed very ‘evident satisfaction as a result of the inspec- tion and stated to Captain Moore that company K is one of the best in the state. He complimented the men on neatness, of general appearance, and the manner in which they conducted themselves. He holds company well to.the front of his .regiment, and expects: it to make”a fine show- ing at the summer camp.
