Wickham at their home, 1414 Minne- sota avenue, last evening at an April appreciation shower for Mary Janet, the two-montas-old daughter adopted by them on April 12th. Mary Janet’s health was in criti- cal condition at the time she was adopted, but she is now getting strong and healthy under the splendid and loving care being given her by her 'new .parents. She received many pretty and useful gifts. ‘A fine lunch was brought by the self invited guests, and all spent a most pleasant evening.
