A. hall Saturday evening, by the .score of 34 to 20. It was the cleanest and fastest game seen here this season, with lots of thrilling basket shooting which kept the crowd on its collective toes. The lineup: C. Paulson M. Harvey .. A. Rain st ; Priebe and M. Harvey of the win- ners shot the most goals, the former netting seven and the latter five. Paulson and Rain each scored two baskets and B. Harvey got one. H. Wynne of Fosston shot three baskets,-Hom netted Wynne rung two more. three and K. Mrs. Hartwick Hansan entertained a number of her friends at a card party on Wednesday eve at her home. The evening was spent in playing whist, after which a - lunch was gerved. Those present were: Mabel Rauk, Miss Ramstad, Miss Swanlund, Marie Rider, Ethel Noyes, Verna Bur- field, and Cecil Holton, Carl Rauk, Conrad Paulson, Wesley Horthun, John Despardines, Sam Despardines, Pat Peterson, Alf Rain and Chester Burfield. M1. Sorenson returned here Thurs- day after spending Wednesday and ‘Thursday in Bagley. Mr. Sorenson’s many friends are glad to hear that ‘his land is rapidly improving. Siguard Hegg, Mr. aSther and Rev. Sorenson were all Bagley visitors on Friday. Miss Alma Eakre, who has been in Bemidji for the past two months, re- turned to her home north of Shevlin on Thursday. Olga Hannem entertained the sev- enth and eighth grade girls at her home on Thursday evening. The evening was spent in playing games and sewing, after which a lunch was served. The girls all report a splen- did time. H. A. Noyes was an Alida visitor on Monday. Mrs. Rev. Sorenson and' two chil-] dren returned to their. home here Wednesday. Mrs. Sorenson has been visiting the past six weeks with her parents in Oregon. wWhile away Mrs. Sorenson attended her parents’ golden wedding. Mrs. Burfleld was a Bemidji visitor Wednesday. Mrs. Burfield received medical treatment while there. Bemidji visitors Friday were Mrs. Ervin Gordon, Mrs. Mrs. T. E. Rider, Cecil Holton and Mrs. Holton. Mrs. Renne and daughter Clara re- turned here Saturday -from Bagley. Mrs. Renne visited with her daughter Friday and Saturday. Ladies’ Aid was held in the Free Church Wednesday, December 17. Mrs. George Fredenberg. of Moose was a Shevlin visitor. Nick Hanson visited with -old acquaintances in Fosston on Tuesday. Miss Ella Ramstad went to Ada; Minn., Wednesday to spend her vaca: tion with her parents at the place. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Wright and chil- dren went to Bagley Sunday for a brief visit with relatives and friends. Mrs. Groag, Myrtle Rain and Miss Kirk of Bemidji arrived here Satur- day to spend the week end with Alf Rain and friends. - Burnice Burfleld returned here Friday ‘to spend her vacation with her parents.
