Gonvick, Oct. 22.—Impetus is driving home a new Ford Sedan, which he purchased in the Flour City. Harry Roese has returned from Blackduck where he has been coach- ing the high school football team for the past ten days. What is regarded to be the best potato crop in this locality and one that speaks well for the productive- ness of land tributary to Gonvick, 13 that grown on the J. M. Johnson farm, three miles southwest of towu. From a plot of seven acres, Mr. Johnson has gathered 2,400 bushels of potatoes, or better than 300 bushel per acre. The tubers are Irish Cob- blers, free from scab and a fine qual- ity. Mr. Johnson is marketing the wotatoes at the local warehouse, and will receive something like $2,000 for the crop—an income of almost $300 from each acre. When one stops to consider the fact that weather con- ditions were decidedly unfavorable to crops during the growing season, it must be said that the yield was ex- ceptionally good, and likely sets a record for potato production in Clearwater county this year. Editor and Mrs. W. W. Jones re- turned Sunday from a week-end visit with realtives in Bagley. The following case is but one of many occurring daily in Bemidji. It is an easy matter to verify it. You cannot ask for better proof. Oliver Gordhamer, carpenter, 1200 Dewey Ave., Bemidji, says: ‘“Some years ago I was greatly annoyed with my kidneys. I had a weak and lame back and it hurt me to stoop. I felt stiff and lame in the morning. I used two boxes of Doan’s Kidney Pills and I have not had any lame back since, nor have my kidneys been dis- ordered.” (Statement given March 20, 1912.) * On November 2, 1917, Mr. Gord- hamer said: “I have not had a sign of kidney trouble since Doan’s Kid- ney Pills cured me five years ago. I am now pleased to say the cure has lasted. I confirm my former en- dorsement.” Price 60c, at all dealers. Mr. Reimer is on to Tanlac and it certainly is re- markable how quickly it has gotten me to feeling right again,” said James H. Fee, a well known carpen- ter employed at the Rock Island rail- road shops living at 1345 F. avenue, East, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in con- versation with a Tanlac representa- tive, recently. “My stomach and kidneys have bothered me so much during the past three years,” he explained, “that I often had to lay off from work, as I was in so much pain I could not get out of bed. Gas would form on my stomach after eating and cause such awful pain that I could hardly stand it, and while I tried many dif- ferent medicines nothing did me any good. “So I got a bottle of Tanlac, on the advice of my neighbor who had been greatly benefitted by it, and soon after starting on it I began to straighten right up. I have taken three bottles now and am feeling like a new man. I have no more trouble with my stomach nor any more pains in my sides and back. It is without a doubt a great medicine for it has certainly done me a world of good. 1 talk so much about my wonderful improvement and what caused it that my friends often call me ‘Tanlac.’ I never fail to recommend it to anyone who is not feeling well. I could name several who have taken it oh my sayso and they all tell me it nas relieved them of their troubles, too.” A dull, dragging feeling of the body, a sluggish mind, dull memory, depression of spirits, nervousness, irritability, stomach trouble, indi- gestion, backache, headache and that tired feeling, are among the numerous symptoms of a condition from which a surprisingly large num- ber of people suffer. Tanlac proved of great benefit to Mr. Fee because it contains certain medicinal properties which combat these very troubles. Thousands are now using this famous medicine in City Drug Store, in Kelliher by Mrs. R. Sterling, in Blackduck by French & Moon, and in Baudette by J. Wil- liams. ! kinds and quality.
