Department of Agriculture ‘Washington—More than 50,000 re- quests for information on how te make hog crates have been recelved by the United States department of agriculture. A large number of the requests are from club members, and the percent- age recelved from the South i3 re- garded by officials of the department as an index to the extent of improve- ment the hog industry has made in that part of the United States. The type of crate the department speclalists have developed and are now recommending has several advan- tages. It can be easily handled, and provides comfort without loss of space for.the hog in transit. A-circular of the department tells how to build the crate. ‘Adopt Married Man.
