Aug. 23.—Thou- ands of -acres of cut-over lands in Wisconsin, upper Michigan and Min- ‘mesota today were being prepared Iq_ bne of the biggest reclamatfon’ pro: jects ever carried out in the North- ‘west. The projeet involved the clean- ing of these lands of tree stumps and rocks. To carry out this scheme, the de- partment of the interior has pur- chased from the war department more.than 200,000 pounds of T. N.
