PLANTING TREES IN HONOR (By United Press.) Omaha, Neb., July 10.—One of the most unique memorial groves in the United States is at Ft. Omaha, where the United States army has its bal- loon school. The trees, six thousand of them were planted with proceeds from “The Gas Bag,” the official pub- lication of the school. The trees are being registered with the American Forestry association of Washington, which is compiling a national honor roll of all memorial trees planted. The next of kin of those who died are marking the trees with the bronze marker designed by the association. The school drew from all parts of the country and not only were trees planted, at the direction of Lieut. Col. Jacob W. S. Wuest, for those who died, but for those who are alive that passed through this camp and the one at Ft. Crook. There are 972 men on the list of dead. Jioncon.—PDemandiny that domce- tic servants -hould ne addressed as Mrs. or Miss instead of Javue, sarah, or cther inelzgant names; and over time fur extra work ca\ sed by guests, Wimbledon domestics have formed a “Negotiating Committec.” ~ WANT AD DEPT Advertisements in this column cost i half cent a word per issue, when paid 11 cash in advance.
