THE BEMIDJI DAILY PIONEEK TONIGHT! —LAST TIMES— RED LAKE CELEBRATION. Red Lake Indian agency will cele- brate Independence Gay - this year commencing July 2 and continuing to and including July 6. A feature of the celebration will be a grand par- ade. The entertainment will include speaking, dancing, horse races, foot races, ball games, LaCrosse ‘games, tug-o-war and water sports. The latter will include canoe races and swimming contests. ARRIVED FROM OVERSEAS. Corporal Sam F. Baney of the Sixth ' division, company M, 62rd U .S. infantry, reg. arrived home yes- terday from Camp Dodge; where he received his honorable discharge af- ter a year’s service in France, where he saw active service in several of the big battles. He also served in the army of occupation in Germany. He says there is nothing like the good-old U. 8. A. CONGER SAILS FOR FRANCE. Glenn Conger has wired his par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Conger of Lake boulevard that he sails for France today on the U. 8. 8. Missouri, this being his fourth trip to France. He also states in his message that tney will be given five days’ fur- lough ,in order to give them an op- portunity to visit Paris. The other thrée times he landed at Brest and they were just given a few hours shore leave. RETURNS WITH BRIDE. Arne W. Aamodt and bride re. turned this morning from Aberdeen, S, D., where they were married last Friday. Mrs. Aamodt was formerly Miss Viva Stephenson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. A. Stephenpson, of Aberdeen. Mr. Aamodt is .county agent of Beltrami county and well knewn throughout this part of the state. Mrs. Aamodt taught in the Carthage high school this year.
