Bell of this city has returned home after serving in the navy since the day war was de- clared: He'was a member of the| naval militia at Bemidji when hos- tilities opened. He-had many exclt- ing adventures. He was first’ sta- tioned on the Massachusetts, but later was transferred to the U. 8. 8. Kansas. He was rated as chief com- missary steward.
