PAGE -I’OUR NEW LUXURY TAX IS - EFFECTIVE TOMORROW ldJl merchants are prepared bt ‘the so-called luxury tax which -goes .into effect tomorrow. It fs’im- portant that consumers bear in mind that the tax has to be paid by them, and not by the retailer. The taxes imposed are to be col- lected-either by stamp affixed to the * artfcle by the dealer, the cost of f whigh. shall ~be reimbursed to the dealer by ‘the consumer, or by the payment to the dealer at the time of the sale.
