NO WOMAN’S HELP Man Has a Farm and Reared a Fam- ily of Nine Children. To have operated a farm and reared family of nine children without the ald of a woman is the feat of Frank Trautloff, who has sold his farm and 1s retiring to a home which he recently ! purchased in Atchison, Kan. The older five of the nine children ' are boys, and Mr. Trautloff, after the death of his wife, 15 years ago, did all their mending as well as the house- work and cooking in addition to hav- ing successfully managed the farm. On motion duly seconded and carried the aprncation of the Four Towns Co- Operative Creamery for the partial re- fund of taxes paid was referred to the state tax commission for approval. On motion duly seconded and carried the application of Peter Larson and J. H. French for a reduction in the asses- sed valuation of real estate was refer- ! red again to the tax commission for approval after proper adjustments were recommended. ., . On motion duly seconded and carried, the application of Eklund & Co. for re- ductlon of assessed valuation of person- n motion duly seconded and carried the application for reduction of personal groberly of the the International Lum- jert co., of International Falls was re- ected. Recess was taken to 1:30 p. m.,, when the board reconvened with all mem- bers present. The petition of Juon Carter, et al., praying for a resurvey of Sec. 36-149-31, was presented. It was moved, seconded and carried that hearing be set for May 6th, 2:00 p. m. The petition of Chas. Lausche, et al., raying for a resurvey of sec. land 2- 46-30, was presented. It was moved, seconded and carried that hearing be set for May 6th, at 2:00 p. m. The petition of Wilmer Adams, et al., praying for a resurvey of section 24- 147-31, was presented. It was moved, seconded an carried that hearing be . 8et for May 6th at 2:00 p. m. On motion duly seconded and carried the following petitions for resurvey were rejected, 30-147-31. Petition of H. Slezak, et al, came up for hearing, no objecuon belng offered, it was moved, seconded and carried that R. K. Bliler be appointed to survey sec- tion 30-148-31 and time for survey to be- gin April 21st, 1919. Petition of O. Edwin Tollberg, et al., me up for hearing, no objection be- coffered, it was moved and seconded rvey to begin April 3sth, 1919. Petition of Chas. Paspichel, et al., came up for hearing, no objection being offered it was moved, seconded and car- ried that R. K. Blier be appointed to sur- vey section 29-168-31, and time of sur- vey to begins April 28th, 1919, ‘The petition of John O. Anderson, praying to be set off from school dist- rict No. 81 to district No. 27 was pre- sented. On motion duly seconded and curned hearing was set for May 6th at that R. K. Moved, seconded and carried that old grader in town of Alaski be offered for sale at $10.00. Moved, seconded and carried that each commissioner look after the main- tenance of the ditch roads in his district when there is money in the ditch main- tenance fund for that purpose. Moved, seconded and carried that the Auditor advertise for sale three forties of land belonging to Beltrami County + and money received be placed to the county poor fund to be used in connec- tion with the poor.
