President Vander- sluis presiding. i Roll Call /- Upon roll call the following aldermen were declared present; Garlock, Bagley, Palmer, Benner, Cooper, Croon, Barnell, Jones, Vandersluis. Absent Backus, Joanis. Minutes. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Bonds. Bond of Geo. W. Rhea, City Treas., in the sum of $20,000.00 with the Iowa Bonding & Casualty Co. bond of Geo. Stein, City Clerk, in the sum of $2,- 000.00 with Iowa Bonding & Casualty Co, as sureties, were approved and ac- cepted. nd of E. A, Shannon in the sum of $500.00 with the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co, as surety, and bond of Jos. Hahn in the sum of $600.00 with the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co. as surety, were approved and accepted. ‘Miscellaneous. B?ort of E. A. Shannon Health Offi- cer for the year just closed was read and upon motion “and second accepted and ordered filed. . . Application of Mike Pippin for pool table license was referred to the License Committee. It was moved and seconded that J. J. Doran be allowed a credit of $72.46 on his meter account, payment appearing to have been made to the former Supt. ‘Water Dept. Carried. The City Clerk was authorized to pur- chase a new standpipe and water crane complete at $80.00 f. 0. b. Troy, N. Y., as outlined in communication of Ludlow it i Valve Co., under date of Feby 17th, 1919. H The city clerk was authorized to ad- ? vertise for sale of $50,000 Water Works 1 P Bonds, on motion and second duly made 4 and carried. It was moved and seconded that thc present Supt. of Water Dept. Mr. Eck- :trum. términate his services April 1st Upon motion duly made and seconde: the salary of the City Engineer and Supt. of Water Dept. was placed at $350.00- per month. The amount of the Surety Bond t« be furnishéd by Mr. Bourgious was de ferred until next meeting. It wag moved and seconded to refer delinquent water bills to a committec consisting of the city clerk, city attor ney and chairman of the finance commit tee. .
