Word was received here of the death of Mrs. W, D. Phillips of Wis- consin, who had been ailing for some time past. Mrs. Ar Remillard left here about nine months ago and Roy Phillips went down to be present at his mother’s funeral. W. Phillips was a one-time resident of our town and has the sympathy of his many friends in his great sorrow. The farmer who makes a success of poultry keeps his eye trained on two things—earlier hatches and more winter eggs. He is the farmer who makes poultry preduce —and produce profits—big profits for him. The first essential is a substantial, air tight, warm, well ventilated Poultry House. A warm house means earlier hatches and more winter eggs— A sanitary house means healthier flocks and less disease— A convenient house means better care and attention— A well constructed poultry house adds value to your farm. “The best poultry house is covered on the outside with WHITE |8 PINE. The wood is light, durable and so easily worked that you'll enjoy building with it. And it does not warp or twist or split or rot even after years of exposure. ‘Our service makes building easy and inexpensive. We have plans, specifications and bill of materials for the Poultry House illustrated—or for any other type of poultry houses if you prefer. We will gladly give you our estimate of the cost. PHONES After the present supply of PIONEER FLAGS at O’Leary Bowser’s store is exhausted the price will jump to $1.50, provided they can be secured at all. B This raise is caused by the government’s commandering practically all the wool bunting, which tends to put cotton flags at a premium and indications point to a scarcity of flags for the month of June. Coupons will be discontinued and those who have them saved will please bring them in at once as the supply cannot last long. If no more Special Pioneer Flags can be secured the public is here- with advised that O’LEARY-BOWSER COMPANY will carry the same grade of FLAGS at very close to the new price above quoted. THE BIG FLAG DAYS ARE STILL AHEAD—DECORATION DAY, MAY 30; FLAG DAY, JUNE 14, AND THE FOURTH OF JULY Every Home Should Have a Flag — s v 1 Defective
