When linoleum becomes worn, polish it with prepared liquid wax. Dampen an old plece of woolen underwear with, a tablespoonful of the wax and rub the linoleum with it as if you were scrubbing the floor. Polish with a dry ‘woolen cloth until it shines. This re- news the faded colors. After the first coat of wax, the linoleum may be pol- ished daily with a waxed cloth fasten- -ed to a mop handle, thus saving the housekeeper from scrubbing the floors, Keep Criticism to Yourself. ‘When you feel an inclination to criti- cize, remember that you weren’t born to set the world right. Just murmur to yourself that, after all, it's a pretty nice little old. world, and that perhaps it would be even more difficult to get along with .people if they were all quite perfect, which they certainly aren't. Just keep your critical faculty to yourself; it will have all the exer- cise it needs.—Exchange. Does Not Reduce the Price. A pipe has been luvented which fills {tself as fast as the tobacco in the bowl is consumed. How Mark Twain would have appreciated this modern _ convenience! While Mr. Clemens was a young man, it is-sald, he contrived a pipe, consisting of a can of tobacco placed on the floor, to which a long rubber tube was attached. Then he would light the whole can and smoke in bed.—Exchange. Heel Not to Bear Welght. * The welght of the body must never. be borne on the heels. We are allowed one cent per gallon for ~ handling it. This must pay for the labor “ of a man at the pump, the necessary book- keeping it involves and the cost of _mailing statements. If we sell you 100 gallons a month which means $23.20, many of our cus- tomers exceed that amount, we make $1.00 providing we have no loss in shrinkage. You can see how soon this will run into money. Shrinkage and collecting leaves us very little profit, so little we feel we cannot carry a gasoline account. For those operating trucks or delivery cars and find it inconven- ient to furnish drivers money, we will sell coupon books, very handy to use. We are ready to accommodate you in any reason- able manner and we know you cannot help seeing this matter in the right light and will co-operate with us. Thanking you for your liberal patronage in the past and wisihng - you a happy and prosperous New Year, we - xemam, yours— Letford Auto flnmpany HmnunuuuuunnunnununnnunnnNnnNnnS NN Auto Owners This is the time of year when your automobile is idle - and should be overhauled and put in first class condi- tion for spring. Even if your car has had good treatment and is ap pafently in excellent condition, it should be gone over at least once a year. With the raising of our present rates the first of the year from 75¢ an hour to 90c an hour, it will enable us to employ only the best skilled mechanics and give the cus- tomer-more efficient service. Where the work is done by skilled men, it is com- pleted more quickly, and done better. This will lower the cost per job, instead of raise it, as the advance price per hour would at first indicate. The result will be more satisfied customers, better and smoother running cars and less grief for the drivers and awners. Don’t wait until spring. Order your car fixed today, and we will get it when its turn comes. BEMIDJI AUTO GO. OLAF ONGSTAD, Prop.
