Opsahl, president of the Northern Minnesota Sheep Grow- ers’ association and the ' incident brought down the house, it being some moments before order could be restored.” After the reading of the first verse, one of Joe Ruttger’s flock from Bay Lake was led in by Dr. I C. Edwards, a prominent member of the Cham- ber of Commerce and a snap shot was taken of the sheep and Mr. Op- sahl. Included in the speakers at the smoker were Mr. Opsahl. The sheep was immediately named ‘“Mon- tana Mary.” WIFE SLAYER mscongEn‘kTENCED TO 3 YEARS Cumberland, Wis., Dec. 8.—Judge Frank A. Ross sentenced Herbert En- gelbert of this city to serve three years in the state penitentiary at Waupun. Engelbert was convicted in the present term of the circuit court of manslaughter, having been arrested for the murder of his wife, which occurred in this city last sum- mer. Engelbert pleaded temporary insanity and the jury found him guilty of manslaughter in the third degree.
