D., Nov. 7.—One of the last acts during the term of United States court which has closed here was the pronouncing of sen- tence by Judge Youman on William J. Head of Mitchell, who was found guilty of the charge of violating the espionage act. He was sentenced to a.term of three years in the Federal’ penitentiary at Leavenworth, Kan. Head was arrested at Mitchell some weeks ago while circulating petitions asking that the selectiv draft law be brought to a refere% dum vote. | Addison Abraham was sentenced to a term of three months in the Yankton county jail. He was found guilty of violating the espionage act. His light sentence was due to the fact that he was found to be mental- ly irreponsible.
