Concrete thips will displace the wooden-walled Norwegian barque, it i8 reported, the first Norwegian con- crete ship having been launched at the Porsgrund Cement Works, in the presence of the prime minister, M. Knudsen. The ship is built on an en- tirely new system, with the bottom upwards, in which extraordinary posi- tion the launching took place on a sort of underlying sledge, which glided out with the ship. When the water wag' reached the hull became detached from the sledge and gradually sank up to a certain point, then subsequents ly slowly righted itself. The ship, vhich is of 200 tons burden, was built in three weeks, but the next will only require about half that time as the original frame will be used for each subsequent ship of the same size. The casting of the ship, when the frame is completed will this time take only two days. Itis intended to start the whole- sale building of fron and concrete ships of 200, 500 and 1,000 tons. A 1,000-ton ship will be completed in slx weeks. It is probable that you can improve the road by dragging it the moment the drag is purchased or constructed, no matter what is the condition of the earth. Ordinarily, however, it 18 best to drag when the surface is “moist, but not nueky" D e it ARE YOU SICK? Read the Folluwmg The illustration at the right will show you the importance of the spinal column or backbone. This is composed of twenty-four separate bones or segments, placed one upon the other so that a col- umn is formed. In the center of this column is a canal through which the spinal cord (a prolonga- tion of the brain) passes downward length. its entire The nerves that emit from the spinal cord pass through openings between these segments, the magnified portion showing a large healthy nerve as it passes out and the lower a dwarfed or a shrunken nerve made so by a bony segment be- ing subluxated and pressing on the soft nerve tis- sue compressing it, thus shutting off the nerve supply which is the ruling-power or life-spark of every organ and cell of the body. If there is any pressure on the nerves, the part of the body that nerve supplies will become weak or dis- eased. ) ¢ i The Chiropractor adjusts the segments to its proper place, relieves the pressure and health returms.
